As a tra­di­tional, and the largest, med­ical in­sti­tu­tion in the state of Meck­len­burg-Vor­pom­mern, Ro­s­tock Uni­ver­sity Med­ical Cen­tre is the max­i­mum-care provider for the Ro­s­tock re­gion and be­yond.

It is one of the largest em­ploy­ers in north-east­ern Ger­many that stands up well in­ter­na­tion­ally, and uses mod­ern tech­nol­ogy and the lat­est treat­ment meth­ods to en­sure pa­tient well­be­ing on a daily ba­sis. The treat­ment pro­vided by recog­nised spe­cial­ists in uni­ver­sity med­i­cine is also highly re­garded and sought-af­ter be­yond Ger­many’s bor­ders.

More and more stu­dents are seek­ing to com­plete their stud­ies in Ro­s­tock. Prac­tice-based classes in small groups are just as much part of the stan­dard as train­ing in in­no­v­a­tive sub­jects.
