Every year around 50.000 guests come to Guldborgsund Municipality to experience the authentic Medieval Centre which features medieval houses and daily life, as well as the re-enactment of great knight tournaments. You can also sunbathe at the Marielyst Tourism Resort, a 20 km long white sandy beach, which has repeatedly been awarded the title of the best beach in Denmark.
You can also visit the Fuglsang Kunstmuseum, a regional art museum with a permanent collection of high quality Danish paintings and sculptures dating back to the 1780s-1980s. The municipality is a part of “Greater Copenhagen” and benefits from the internationally significant rail and road connection Hamburg-Copenhagen.
