In­ter­na­tional re­la­tions

The City of Ro­s­tock ben­e­fits from in­ter­na­tional co­op­er­a­tion with other cities and their in­sti­tu­tions at dif­fer­ent lev­els.

EU pro­jects, cul­tural ex­change, sci­ence and busi­ness net­work­ing con­tribute to the sus­tain­able growth of Ro­s­tock and pro­vide our cit­i­zens with in­sight into other cul­tures and struc­tures.

The City of Ro­s­tock has 14 twin cities in 13 coun­tries. These cities are bound by part­ner­ship agree­ments which are mostly signed in the 1960s. In ad­di­tion, Ro­s­tock has seven friend­ship cities. This co­op­er­a­tion is based on mu­tual pro­jects and ac­tiv­i­ties. The City of Ro­s­tock is also a mem­ber var­i­ous in­ter­na­tional as­so­ci­a­tions.
