Events all year round

It all kicks off on 1st of Ja­nu­ary with the ‘War­ne­mün­der Turm­leuch­ten‘. The spec­ta­cu­lar New Year’s show with lights, la­sers, fire­works and per­for­man­ces at­tracts tens of thousands of peop­le to the sea­si­de re­sort eve­ry year.

Then in la­te Ja­nu­ary/ear­ly Fe­bru­ary, the­re’s ‘War­ne­mün­der Win­ter­ver­gnü­gen’ win­ter fes­ti­val on the be­ach whe­re vi­si­tors can en­joy hor­se races, camp­fires, live mu­sic and all kinds of stea­ming hot de­li­ca­ci­es. Spring brings the an­nu­al ‘Stromerwa­chen’, when mem­bers of the ‘Ros­to­cker See­hun­de’ club per­form their tra­di­tio­nal ice swim, while ma­jor ma­ri­ti­me events such as the War­ne­mün­der Wo­che and Han­se Sail are re­gu­lar sum­mer high­lights that are de­fi­ni­te­ly not to be missed. Sai­ling fans and ship lo­vers in par­ti­cu­lar can ad­mi­re a uni­que spect­a­cle he­re. Crui­se ships are just as much part of War­ne­mün­de as the light­house and Al­ter Strom wa­ter­way. And so­me of the­se ships are bid­den fit­ting fa­re­wells by lo­cals, tou­rists and pas­sen­gers du­ring the War­ne­mün­de Port Par­ties.

Sum­mer gets go­ing with sai­ling, sur­fing, ki­te sur­fing, hi­king or cy­cling along the Ost­see­küs­ten­rad­weg (Bal­tic Co­ast Cy­cle Path). Me­an­while, the AOK Ac­ti­ve Be­ach and the Sport Be­ach Are­na right on the be­ach of­fer the fun and ga­mes. And for tho­se who pre­fer things mo­re chil­led out, the­re are sea­si­de re­sort con­certs, an arts & crafts mar­ket, and even ro­man­tic sun­set crui­ses.

Au­tumn and win­ter are the per­fect time to vi­sit the cul­tu­ral sites and mu­se­ums in and around Ros­tock, or un­wind at one of the many well­ness fa­ci­li­ties.
